Following on from last week’s Faces of Zambia, here are a few photos from it’s neighboring country, Democratic Republic of Congo.

Without a doubt, Congo was one of the harshest environments I’ve ever traveled to. Civil war has taken its toll on so many people and I felt it could be seen on the faces of those I met. Yet there is hope, hope that a corner has been turned. Within the communities where Outreach International is working I saw families working hard to overcome the extreme poverty they faced each day. There are feeding programs, water boreholes, brick-making projects, health clinics and much more being implemented through our support. However, none of it would be possible without your essential donations. Please continue to support those children and families in Congo, your generosity is changing lives.
