Since 1979, Outreach International has facilitated community-led development to sustainably address poverty-related issues worldwide. We currently work in 10 countries around the world, applying our unique approach to sustainable change on a daily basis.
We invest in people. Our step-by-step process,“Participatory Human Development,” or PHDP, is centered on the development of community groups. Through long-term social integration, our process provides an organizational structure for community members to collectively identify, prioritize and collaborate on sustainable solutions to the poverty-related issues they face.
Our staff provides a framework for meaningful personal investment, and a context where everyone has a voice, a purpose, and a role in achieving (and replicating) successful, empowered outcomes.
Ending poverty is not possible without empowered communities’ authentic participation and personal investment in their own successful outcomes.
Our process requires a mutual investment of time and trust from all involved, achieved through deep consideration, sustained action and ongoing personal reflection.
Our commitment comes from our certainty that our work together makes the prospect of a more inclusive, joyful, empowered world not only possible, but inevitable.
