One of Outreach’s community partners strikes a pose in front of his newly refurbished home, repaired with materials accessed through his community’s partnership with Habitat for Humanity Cambodia.
HURREDO is the Outreach-affiliated partner in Cambodia, as well as the community-based groups in their field program locations. Together, they’ve strengthened their relationship with Habitat for Humanity Cambodia over the last two years.
Thanks to resources accessed through Habitat for Humanity, three communities, Tbeng Keut, Run, and Romcheck, have accessed resources through Habitat for Humanity. Because of this, they’ve been able to address poverty-related issues they’ve been affected by for years. With the support of Outreach field staff, community members from these communities requested and accessed a significant amount of resources from Habitat.

Kids from three Outreach-affiliated communities gather to celebrate Habitat for Humanity Cambodia’s contribution of school supplies and other fun stuff for the school year ahead.
Across all three communities, Habitat for Humanity, its teams of international volunteers and local residents, built 27 new homes. They’ve also renovated and improved 49 more. Tbeng Keut and Run built 12 new latrines, renovated 14 more. And Habitat for Humanity was also a valuable partner in providing school supplies to 684 children from Romcheck. Additionally, 10 households in Romcheck received water filters through Habitat for Humanity. Also, residents of Tbeng Keut have been enjoying the larger, healthier vegetable yield. This is because they’ve accessed seeds and other gardening materials from Habitat.
hurrah for habitat and hurredo
