We can say without reservation Dennis is the beating heart of Outreach’s success.
Our dear friend and colleague, Dennis Labayen, recently retired from his official capacity with Outreach, after serving for more than 36 years. Not to worry — he’s still a member of our family, now in the role of Chief Field Officer Emeritus, and will continue parachuting in to lend his expertise and experience to a host of special projects around the world.
We can say without reservation Dennis is the beating heart of Outreach’s success. Since our earliest years, the success we’ve enjoyed alongside our community partners, and as a group of committed poverty-fighters, can be traced directly to Dennis’s guidance, ingenuity and dedication.
Wherever Outreach has gone, Dennis Labayen has been there, listening, encouraging and empowering our community partners to work together and brighten their lives. He’s someone who understands that poverty is fundamentally unjust, and treats our partners with a level of dignity that insists they believe in their own capacity to find solutions. And they do.
To know Dennis is to love Dennis, and while we will absolutely miss having him around the office to spice up our days, we’re so grateful for the memories of our time together, laughing, thinking and spilling coffee all over the place.
