Show your colors and make a new friend! Fifty-two “Conference Kids” took part in the #myoutreachpal activity during the Community of Christ World Conference last month.
What a thrill! Children listened to a read-aloud of our book, “Working Together, Working Juntos,” which was, as always, a big hit. They also worked together to build a home from pasta and marshmallows, illustrating what happens when you have unequal resources but work together to create homes for all.
The highlight was when everyone created their own “Outreach Pals” to remind them of the good we can accomplish together throughout the world. Outreach Pals are a great way to spread the word of the good work Outreach does around the world even farther than you already do.
When kids illustrate their own Outreach Pals and take them along on their summer travels, parents can take a photo and share it with the rest of the Outreach community here on our blog, giving everyone a peek at the places you go and the good that follows. Pair your activities with support for other children around the world, and it’s a win-win for everyone!
